Wednesday, October 23, 2019 - 15:02

At ul. Świętokrzyska 36 in the very center of Warsaw, the construction of SKYSAWA is underway — a state-of-the-art office complex being developed by Polski Holding Nieruchomości. Diaphragm walls have been made which will constitute the walls of the future underground car park.

The construction works began with diaphragm walls, which will be the walls of the future underground car park. 4,800 cubic meters of concrete and 256 tons of steel were used for their construction. Currently, excavation is underway and its area and depth are increasing on a daily basis. In September alone, about 3,500 tons of soil and debris was removed. The excavation is to reach an area of 4,610 sq.m. and a depth of 10 meters. In the following weeks, the concreting of the ceiling of underground garages will begin. So far, several dozen people work at the SKYSAWA construction site, but this number will grow as the work progresses, and will reach 500 employees at the peak of construction.

“SKYSAWA is one of the largest office and commercial complexes that are currently under construction in Warsaw — it will provide the market with ca. 40,000 sq.m. It is also one of the first projects that will have a direct connection to a metro station. Its central location right by the ONZ Roundabout, just a 5-minute walk from the Central Railway Station, means that the project will certainly become one of the key locations in the capital,” said Tomasz Górnicki, Vice-President of the Management Board for Investment, Polski Holding Nieruchomości S.A.

“Carrying out construction works in the very center of the capital poses a real challenge, not only for logistic but also for technical reasons. The density of other buildings surrounding the construction site is definitely a challenge, but thanks to the precise planning of activities, they can be carried out continuously, without stoppages. Thanks to good organization and experience of the PORR team, the construction of the SKYSAWA project proceeds according to plan,” said Dariusz Wietrzyński, Member of the Management Board of PORR S.A.

SKYSAWA is a state-of-the-art office and commercial complex with an area of ca. 40,000 sq.m. Its construction began at the end of June this year. It has been awarded a BREEAM Interim certificate with the highest possible rating — “Outstanding”. The project’s commercialization is managed by Colliers International consulting company.
