For the next three days, every day from November 9 to 11, from 6 p.m. a mapping will be displayed on the tenement house at ul. Wierzbowa 9/11, commemorating the regaining of independence by Poland. In this symbolic way, Polski Holding Nieruchomości will commemorate the 101st anniversary of regaining independence.
Using advanced technologies, a multimedia presentation will be displayed on the building’s facade about the most important events from over a hundred years ago which led to regaining independence by Poland — from the outbreak of World War I, through the formation of Polish Legions, arrival of Marshal Piłsudzki to Warsaw and his telegram announcing the establishment of the independent Polish State. The multimedia presentation will be accompanied by background music. The presentation will cover almost the entire tenement house from the first floor to the roof.
PHN’s property located at ul. Wierzbowa 9/11 is a tenement house built around 1820 for Ludwik Adam Dmuszewski — actor, director of National Theater and the editor-in-chief of the “Kurier Warszawski” daily. It was burned down in September 1939 and rebuilt in the second half of the 1940s.
“We will use state-of-the-art technology and our property in the center of Warsaw to display selected events from over 100 years ago referring to regaining independence by Poland. The national holiday which will be celebrated next Monday is a time that unites, and mapping is a form that attracts the attention of both adult viewers and teenagers. We invite everyone to join us and celebrate the 101st anniversary of regaining independence by Poland together,” said Marcin Mazurek, President of the Management Board of Polski Holding Nieruchomości S.A.
The multimedia presentation will start this Saturday at 6 p.m. Each animation will be followed by a 5-minute break, during which the clock will count down the time remaining to the next projection. Due to quiet hours, from 10 p.m. to midnight the animation will be displayed without music. The projection will end at midnight on November 11.
