SKYSAWA, the flagship project of Polski Holding Nieruchomości, has been nominated for the BREEAM Awards 2020. Building A of the office complex under construction in Warsaw will compete in the “Commercial Projects — Design Stage Award” category. The winners will be announced on March 2 during a gala held in London.

Building A of the SKYSAWA office and commercial complex which is under construction in Warsaw at ul. Świętokrzyska 36 is among 5 European commercial investments nominated for a prize in the prestigious BREEAM Awards 2020 in the “Commercial Projects — Design Stage Award” category. The annual plebiscite is organized by the international certification institution Building Research Establishment (BRE) Global. The main goal of the plebiscite is to select a project that sets new standards in the area of environmentally friendly solutions and sustainable construction.

“The construction of SKYSAWA has been conducted in a sustainable manner from the very beginning. We are really satisfied that the international certification institution BRE Global recognized our efforts. The fact that we are among 5 European projects nominated for the BREEAM Awards 2020 is already a distinction and a reason to be proud,” said Tomasz Górnicki, Vice-President for Investment, Polski Holding Nieruchomości.

Building A within the SKYSAWA office complex was awarded the BREEAM Interim certificate at the Outstanding level in September 2019. It is the first building in Poland to have received this certificate in the BREEAM 2016 system. Buildings applying for the certificate are evaluated in 10 categories, including management, energy, transport, water, and materials. In 3 out of 10 categories, SKYSAWA received the maximum number of points, i.e. for location and transport, water saving and implementation process management. DIL Polska and Go4Energy support us in the process of certification.

Other projects nominated for the BREEAM Awards 2020 in the “Commercial Projects — Design Stage Award” category are: 21 Moorfields in London, Louwman Rotterdam Zuid in Rotterdam, Project Mint (Triton Square) in London, and Quatour — Building C in Brussels.
