The “Hotels for Medics” Foundation has donated 100 thousand zlotys to the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Administration in Warsaw to fight COVID-19. With these funds, the hospital will finance the purchase of neurosurgical instruments.
“Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the Hotels for Medics Foundation has already committed more than 1.5 million to prevent, counteract and eradicate COVID-19. This time the donation of 100 thousand zlotys went to the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Administration in Warsaw. We hope that the funds donated for the purchase of neurosurgical instruments will contribute to an even more effective fight against the effects of the pandemic,” emphasized Gheorghe Marian Cristescu, President of Hotels for Medics Foundation and President of the Management Board of Polski Holding Hotelowy.
Marcin Mazurek, Board Member of “Hotels for Medics” Foundation and President of Polski Holding Nieruchomości, also emphasized the foundation’s involvement in the fight against COVID-19. This is evidenced, among others, by the transfer of further funds to the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Administration in Warsaw. In May 2021, the hospital had already received 100 thousand zlotys from the foundation to finance the purchase of an ECMO outpatient ambulance. “Since the outbreak of the pandemic, we have been actively involved in helping those affected by the coronavirus. Although the number of cases is decreasing, there are still many people struggling with the effects of the disease. We hope that the funds donated for further treatment will help in faster recovery,” said the PHN President.
“The donation from the Hotels for Medics Foundation will allow us to purchase modern equipment for the Neurosurgery Clinic of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, where we treat patients in life-threatening conditions. It is extremely important that doctors are able to use the highest quality surgical instruments and help as many patients as possible. The role of treatment specialties is invaluable. This is especially true in the difficult times we are currently experiencing. Thank you,” said Professor Waldemar Wierzba, MD, PhD, Director of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Administration in Warsaw.
The “Hotels for Medics” Foundation was established in April 2020 at the initiative of Polski Holding Hotelowy. It supports efforts to prevent, counteract and eradicate COVID-19. Thanks to the support of Polski Holding Hotelowy, Polski Holding Nieruchomości, Przedsiębiorstwo Państwowe “Porty Lotnicze” and PWPW Foundation, the foundation raised a total of PLN 3,25 million.
