On Wednesday, 23 August, a new 99th Castorama store in Poland and the 7th in Warsaw was launched at the Building and Interior Design Centre in Warsaw, owned by Polski Holding Nieruchomości. PHN signed a long-term lease agreement with the retail chain for the building located on Bartycka Street in Warsaw.
The capital’s new Castorama store is located in the Mokotów district, at ul. Bartycka 26, on a property owned by PHN. This is an address with an “industry” history, where the Building and Interior Design Centre has been operating for decades, offering goods and services from the building and interior design industry in dozens of stores. Castorama has leased a standalone two-storey pavilion from PHN, where goods will be sold on the ground floor, whereas on the first floor, a unique inspiration zone has been created where customers will be able to design their dream interiors with the help of designers.
“The PHN-owned Building and Interior Design Centre, which has served the residents of Warsaw for years, is now gaining a new tenant – Castorama. I am delighted that the home improvement chain has decided to launch a new store format combined with an inspiration zone in our building. The store’s good location in Mokotów enables comfortable access from other districts of Warsaw, both with your own means of transport and by public transport. Cooperation with Castorama is part of a plan to increase the potential of the site,” says Piotr Przednowek, Member of the Management Board for Development, Polski Holding Nieruchomości.
Castorama Polska is a leader in the home improvement (DIY) sector. It has a network of brick and mortar shops and an online sales channel and offers customers a comprehensive range of products and services for building, renovating and furnishing homes and apartments. Castorama’s extensive range of more than 60,000 products is addressed to both DIY enthusiasts and industry professionals.
