The second phase of the Alchemia office building, situated in the center of Gdańsk at al. Grunwaldzka 409, has obtained the LEED PLATINUM certification. It is the most timeless A-class property in terms of architecture and multi-functionality, which has also been recognized as the best office building of the year 2015 in Poland at the Eurobuild Awards.
LEED certificate is an internationally recognized green building certification system. It provides building owners and managers with tools for identifying and implementing practical and measurable solutions for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of green buildings. Designs are evaluated based on five main criteria: sustainable site, water performance, energy performance and indoor environmental quality, use of materials and resources, and external environment quality. Innovation in design is an additional criterion.
In each category, a specified number of points may be obtained. With 89 points, Alchemia II received a certificate with the highest rating – LEED PLATINUM, thus holding the third position in Poland and losing to Poleczki Business Park by only 2 points.
New projects implemented by Polski Holding Nieruchomości S.A. and A-class office buildings purchased by the Group stand out from their surroundings, which is best exemplified by Alchemia II with the LEED Platinum certification, Andersia Business Center in Poznań with the LEED Gold certification, and Domaniewska Office Hub with the BREEAM certificate with an Excellent rating.
