On October 19, 2017, an official gala took place on the Warsaw Stock Exchange during which results of “The Best Annual Report 2016” competition, organized by the Accounting and Tax Institute, were announced. Polski Holding Nieruchomości S.A. was awarded again – this time for the best annual report in the sWIG80 index.
It is already for the 12th time that the Accounting and Tax Institute invited companies to “The Best Annual Report” competition, aimed at promoting annual reports of top usable quality for shareholders and investors, being the target audience, who expect fair and reliable information. Polski Holding Nieruchomości S.A. was again awarded in this competition - this year: for the best annual report in the sWIG80 index. The company was represented by Maciej Jankiewicz – President of the Management Board, Piotr Staroń – Member of the Management Board for Finance and Grzegorz Grotek – responsible for the preparation of the annual report at PHN
The competition is to promote good financial reporting practices among public companies by preparing annual reports according to the International Financial Reporting Standards and International Accounting Standards, and in accordance with applicable formal requirements, recommendations of international institutions and best practices in this field. Such activities are to improve security of the Polish capital market.
The competition is addressed to all regulated market companies which prepare consolidated annual reports according to IFRS/IAS. These are mostly listed companies, both Polish and international, and other companies covered by the obligation to prepare consolidated financial statements as of January 1, 2005 according to IFRS/IAS or preparing such statements voluntarily, having the ambition to prepare a fair annual report for shareholders and investors.
This is another award for Polski Holding Nieruchomości S.A. this year – in April, the Company received the title of "Transparent Company of the Year 2016” in the first edition of the ranking prepared by the Accounting and Tax Institute and Parkiet stock exchange daily. The ranking’s results were based on a survey among companies, covering three major areas of communication with the market: financial reporting, investor relations and corporate governance principles.
