The construction of the next stage of a logistics and warehouse project in Świebodzin has been ended with a topping out ceremony. This means the completion of the building’s structure and commencement of construction works inside it. The project is being developed in the BTS (built to suit) formula in cooperation with Hillwood Polska.
On Tuesday, June 18, a topping out ceremony took place at the warehouse project in Świebodzin. The event was attended by representatives of local authorities, investors (Polski Holding Nieruchomości and Hillwood Polska), the general contractor Atlas Ward and the future tenant of the facility.
“The construction of the new warehouse project in Świebodzin is going smoothly and according to schedule, and the new tenant will make full use of the state-of-the-art warehouse already this year. We have reached the open-shell phase of the project, and the period of intensive finishing works is ahead of us. The success of our warehouse projects — first in Pruszków, and now in Świebodzin — confirms our belief that we should carry out more projects in our other locations,” said Marcin Mazurek, President of the Management Board of Polski Holding Nieruchomości S.A.
“This project gives us great reasons for joy. On the one hand, Hillwood Polska is expanding to new locations, thanks to which our portfolio will meet the expectations of current and future clients even better. We are convinced of the attractiveness of Świebodzin and its surroundings. Its location in western Poland will provide tenants with access to crucial roads in the country and proximity to Germany — a key trading partner of Polish enterprises. We are also happy about developing our cooperation with the PHN Group. The building in Świebodzin is yet another successful, joint investment carried out in a joint venture formula. We have found a partner with whom we can effectively develop in Poland,” said Jan Kaliński, Business Development Director, Hillwood Polska.
The construction of the warehouse began in March this year, and completion is scheduled for December 2019. The project is being implemented in the BTS (built to suit) formula, taking into account the requirements and standards of the tenant with whom a long-term lease agreement has been signed. The project will provide the market with 10,000 sq.m. of modern storage space.
